The music portion of this course will survey the historical style periods of music including the Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic, and the 20^th Century.Significant composers and representative works of each period will be studied.Particular emphasis will be placed on musical trends of the modern world and the cultural contexts in which they arose.
